Two more major Japanese electronic makers, Toshiba and Mitsubishi Electric, will begin selling 3D television sets this month.
The move follows Panasonic's entry into the market this spring followed by Sony and Sharp.
A private research company, BCN Incorporated, says 3D televisions last month accounted for 1.3 percent of total sales for the first time since the sets hit the market this April.
The makers are also promoting the sales of 3D camcorders and 3D movies that will allow people to make or provide software content that remains insufficient at present.
